One, two or four sessions a week. Four sessions add up to about six hours of soccer weekly.
Richmond is a historic village on the Jock River, settled in 1818. Kanata is closer than many families expect: under a quarter of an hour on country roads.
About 13 minutes / 12.1 km from central Richmond to our training base on Rouncey Rd in Kanata, calculated with OSRM on OpenStreetMap data without traffic. Allow extra time at rush hour and in winter.
Leave the village on Perth Street, turn north onto Eagleson Road and follow it to Terry Fox Drive for the last couple of kilometres. There is no highway.
The Jock River runs through the village. Perth Street and Eagleson Road are the way north toward Kanata.
North Gower, Barrhaven and Manotick families finish their trip on the same Eagleson Road, so Richmond is easy to add to a carpool. Our carpooling guide has route groups and ground rules.
